HOPE For The Children

I visited Rumah HOPE last Friday with my LLS group-mates to fulfill the community service of the module
Rumah HOPE is a place for abused and neglected children to stay

Ever wonder how lucky you are?
To have a home to live in
To have a family who cares
To have friends around you
To have everything that some other children or people couldn't imagine owning?

I felt pity for the unfortunate
And came to realize that...How lucky i am
To have everything that they couldn't have
I have a home....friends....basically everything
But....to them....they didn't even have a home...a family who provides them love and shelter
Imagine...you have allowances from your parents...
What about them?
You have your choice when comes to food
What about them?
You have your freedom to go wherever
What about them?
Everything and Anything...
How could the parents be so cruel!
How could they abuse the child!!!
Shame on them!

I didn't do much for them
Just helped with cleaning and tidying their places....
Doing some gardening
Most of the kids went to school when i reached there
Only few young ones where there running around

They actually needed more volunteer helpers to clean the place,
Encouraging the children
Giving them love and care
Donations and all sort of help
If you're interested...visit the Rumah Hope's Website for more information
You can at least donate some cash or food....
They need sponsorship to feed the children

If you wish to donate, you can post them a cheque
Or if you wanna buy them some rice...cans....foods....daily supplies...
Then you can visit them at the home itself
Its very easy to locate
Just opposite Jaya 33

Singapore Escapade

First of all
I would wanna thank my parents for sponsoring me the vacation funds...
Especially my mum
Thanks for all the money!!!!
If without all the sponsorship...I wouldn't have make it to the trip

Secondly, i would love to thank John for sending me to the airport early on a Saturday morning

Thirdly, i would wanna thank Danny, Wai, George, Yun Teng, Wai's eldest bro and Wai's second bro...without them....i wouldn't have make it to Singapore^^
I've been longing for a trip months ago...finally off i go!!!
My lil dream came true once again :)

Okay!I'm finally blogging bout my SG trip after 1 week
I'm sorry....I have to finish up assignments before i could find the time to blog
(i wish theres actually someone waiting to read my blogs)...i assume
hahaz

Now...let me start off telling my SG trip memories
Its only the 2nd time I'm taking a plane...
Took tiger airways to SG with George and Yun Teng

I'll pray that i get to fly more often...visiting more different countries
And my dream white Christmas would really come true *pray pray*
Danny and Wai already went SG with the bros 2 days before me.
At SG...the transport would be MRT, Bus, Taxi and....walking
I did loads of walking during this trip...which is a good news for me...exercise
We stayed in Hotel Dickson located at Little India

SG's prawn mee which is in clear soup...unlike Malaysia's
I prefer Malaysia's Spicy prawn soup

Hotel's Lobby

Which is quiet convenient...near MRT and town
Although the room was quite small...but its new, clean and well furnished

The first day is all about Shopping Malls....
I've never shopped in so many shopping malls a day in my life before...
This is a good start....since i love to shop
Hahaz...
1st meal in SG
They have rice burger...
Just like sushi...but in burger form

The only shop i bought stuffs from during this trip was MUJI!!!!!
Why Malaysia don't have one??
I grabbed like nobody's business...

Food Break after shopping

SG buildings are beautifully built...
Nicely designed and very creative
The indoors were all air conditioned....and its super cold!!!
Each and every malls have super duper strong air conditioning
So....I'm hot and cold...wet and dry all day

Theres one thing i felt stress was taking the escalator in the MRT stations
Its super crowded and....the escalator moves double the speed compared to Malaysia's
And SG is a very safe country to live in...you can leave your bags and belongings on the chair while walk away to buy foods...no one would touch it
Girls can go jogging and cycling late at night and they can still reach home safe
I guess because everyone of them attended NS before

Had dinner together with Wai's eldest bro and Cousin Sis Christine...of course baby Anson was there too
(Ippudo SG 333 Orchard Road
Meritus Mandarin Gallery)
The food served in the Japanese Restaurant are yummy
Especially my vegetarian salad pasta!!!

Headed up to Orchardcentral's 11th floor for night scene
The escalator was....highly inclined and scary for me...I don't even dare to look down while taking the escalator

Yam cha at Toast Box after that

We went to Pixar exhibition on the second day
I had a nice view on how they actually created all the cartoons...
My favourite Woody and toy story
Its held at the SG science center
Spent almost the whole day there

MRT Stations

Headed to 313 for dinner

They decided to split up after dinner so that everyone can hunt for their items before going back to KL
Danny and Wai said they are going to hunt for some stuffs...which won't be going to boutiques and might not going into shops i wanna go
And i don't wanna be light bulb disturbing George and Yun Teng pak toh....
Somehow i decided to walk alone...
So i actually shopped alone for roughly 2 hours in SG...
Since SG is quite a safe place...i dared
But i actually felt so lonely while walking...
Ended up buying nothing...
Because everything is so expensive...
Or i should say...i have not much cash to spare, thats why i bought nth
Hahaz
Thats why i said...i only shopped in MUJI during this trip.

Saw Wai's big bro and 2nd bro while walking towards ION mall
Walked together to the main entrance to meet up with the others
Sat on the beautiful benches while waiting for others
Observing the environment....nice buildings....music played on the streets...patrons dancing with the music...
City filled with beautiful lights and colors
I was interrupted by Wai
He handed over a Charles and Keith paper bag, "Gie, your birthday present"
I stunted a while and say...Wow!!Thanks!!!
I never thought of getting presents that moment...because its one month away
But he got me my present cus he will be going back to Bintulu after SG trip
I looked at the paper bag and say....OHHH....i know whats this!!!
Its the wallet i saw on the 1st night that i almost bought but didn't buy after hesitating..
Although i know what he bought for me without unwrapping....but nvm...
From Wai

Its still a very sweet surprise....awww....Thank you soooo much for being thoughtful getting me my birthday present!!!

Big bro took us around to view night scenes....
Went to the Merlion and from there we could see Marina Bay
SG is really a beautiful city

Big bro also took us for Dim Sum on the third day for lunch

Its "yao zha kuai" underneath the "chee cheong fun"

Thanks for the hospitality and treating us meals and showing us around!!!
Thanks them for helping carrying my stuffs also!!!
I know I'm the most troublesome one
Keke....paiseh
Had a drink at TCC- The Coffee Connoisseur before boarding the bus

Took 1st coach back to 1u
Every seat has its own small screen

I watched Bridget Jones Diaries...
Was super tired but i just couldn't fall asleep
I think i slept less than 1 hour on the bus.
Thanks Daddy for picking me up and sending me home.

This trip is a tiring one because of all the walking
But it was a great trip for me...
Thanks to all of you
I enjoyed myself
It was really a lil escape for me...
To runaway from stress of school works and hide from reality for a weekend XP
Group photos of my stuffs
Some films hunt right before coming back
From Muji
I brought Mr. Whitey along
But only took 2 shots
No time to take and nothing to take
But Mr. Whitey...Don't Fret
I got you a new jacket!!!
Which fit perfectly!!
And its soft cushion will protect you from harm...hope you like it!!

I'll be *praying* for the next destination....
Where should we go next?
But first....save up $ k buddies!!!
